With the addition of these services in the capital, the office aims to deliver new tools to enrich students´ professional training.

With the presence of the leading authorities Campus Santiago and representatives of the Office of International Affairs, the Center for Job Placement, and Alumni Network, the Universidad Técnico Federico Santa Maria opened new unit at the San Joaquin Campus, which brings these services closer to students and alumni of the capital.

The installation includes a shower, toilet (WC), sink and ecological lighting and is of low cost and easily put together.

With motivation and a deep feeling of solidarity, a group of students from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María created a new project that will be a great deal of help for thousands of Chileans in need. It is the Integral Sustainable Bathroom (BIS, its acronym in Spanish), an innovative form of sanitation that costs less than 250,000 Chilean pesos which includes a shower, toilet, sink, and ecological lighting, as well as a design that allows it to be constructed by any person quickly and in just two days.

Students from the Universidad Santa María have constructed 2 mobile platforms that interact with one another in order to rescue victims after natural disasters.

A pair of robots that save lives. That is what these electronics students from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María have created, with the objective of finding an efficient solution for the rescue of victims in the moment of a natural disaster, much like the recent earthquake and tsunami that have affected the Chile.
